Minuteman III missile launch early Wednesday morning [Source: Brian Webb's Launch Alert Mailing List] The Air Force announced today that a Minuteman III missile is scheduled for launch this Wednesday morning from Vandenberg AFB. The launch window is somewhat different this time: 01:31-07:31 PDT.For the most current launch information visit Brian Webb's excellent website, Rawhide Space Page II. During previous missile launches, the WB6OBB repeater on Broadcast Peak in Santa Barbara has been an excellent source for up to the second status reports including count downs to T minus Zero. Since this missile launch is at such an early hour, it's uncertain if anyone will be on the net to broadcast status reports for this missile launch. In any case, the Launch Net normally becomes active about 20-30 minutes before the launch and continues until the missile is launched. During and after the launch this net is active with conversation about the awesome spectical from several vantage points.
