kHz) intermediate frequencies above each of the above channels. These narrow-band channels are
designated, for example, as: 462.95000: MED-9 462.95625: MED-91 462.96250: MED-92 462.96875: MED-93 HEAR (Hospital Emergency Alert Radio) is a nationwide standard set of base and mobile frequencies for communication between ambulances and hospitals so that paramedics can give vital information about the patient to doctors at the hospital and so the doctors can give the paramedics instruction. Ambulances broadcast 5Mhz above the base frequency. Med-1 thru Med-8 is assigned as a block and any channel may be used. Med-9 and Med-10 may be used for dispatch.
