The Henderson Fire Department serves over
214,000 residents and operates from nine stations, covering the city limits
(93.6 square miles), and provides automatic and mutual aid to surrounding
areas.
The Department is a full-service department, providing services such as
fire/rescue operations, emergency medical services including paramedic and
rescue treatment and transportation, public fire safety education and code
enforcement. The Office of Emergency Management is also located within the
Fire Department.
The Department is comprised of 169 employees. There are 147 Fire/Rescue
Operations personnel (including 48 paramedics), one Medical Services
Officer, three Training personnel, one Public Education Specialist, four
clerical support personnel, five Division Chiefs, six Battalion Chiefs, one
Emergency Management Coordinator, two Deputy Chiefs, and the Fire Chief.Henderson Fire Department utilizes the
