Fireboat Dedication

Fireboats 1, 3 and 5	Opps .. didn't mean to swab the deck. As the new fireboats were being positioned in line next to old Fireboat 2 someone turned on the wrong pump and nearly washed the dignitaries off the deck. My wife made a comment that all mothers should appreciate, “It’s the fountain of youth!”.
Fireboats 1, 3 and 5 lined up next to the old Fireboat 2 in preparation to be dedicated with bottles of Champaign broken across their bows. As each boat is dedicated it would separate from the formation as the next boat receives it’s shower of “Sparkling Freedom Wine”.	Dedication

Fire 1 – A flock of three LAFD helicopters made an appearance at the dedication and a fourth helicopter, Fire 6, orbited the event taking pictures.	Fire 4 hovering near a cargo container craine.
